This Life Mandala symbolizes how all living creatures throughout world history have struggled to survive, procreate, and leave their mark on this world. But what causes this innate seeking to stay alive?

From the single cell in the middle, moving out to more and more complex beings, every strata of living organisms fights for a future. The hands represent the thousands of years-old cave paintings found across the world, where our ancestors would use hollow bones to spray red ochre over their hands like a stencil, leaving a symbol that would last across millennium. What drove them to do this? Was it a search for meaning or just a statement that I was here, I existed? The modern religious symbols represent the eight most populous religions across our globe. Each powered by their own set of beliefs and philosophies to help further these intense, internal goals.
